Tsukicon - Dayton's Moonlit Anime Festival

Dayton
12:00 AM

Welcome! If you’ve found your way here, you’re probably just like us. Someone who believes anime is a community, a culture, a reason to gather. Looking to attend Tsukicon? Head over to our Attendance page for more information! We’re proud to introduce Tsukicon! A love letter to the city of Dayton, to the culture of fandom, and to the moments that bring people together. Tsukicon is not just another anime convention. It's an event that reflects the soul of our local community, while still delivering the scale and magic fans expect from a major convention. Tsukicon is Dayton’s own anime convention inspired by the spirit of Tsukimi. Held October 16–18, 2026, Tsukicon blends a traditional anime convention experience with the feel of a seasonal festival. Featuring artist alley, cosplay showcases, panels, Itasha car displays, and outdoor performances. Day programming takes place at the newly renovated Dayton Convention Center, while nighttime energy shifts to Levitt Pavilion for live music and performance under the sky, followed by a late-night afterparty. Created by the team behind IZAKAYA and ISEKAIYA, Tsukicon is built with love, for the community that calls this city home. It’s a place to gather, to celebrate, and to feel seen... together, under the moonlight. About Tsukicon The name Tsukicon (月コン) is drawn from Tsukimi (月見), the traditional Japanese autumn festival of moon-viewing. It’s a time of reflection, togetherness, and celebration. Often accompanied by food, poetry, music, and offerings like dango, susuki grass, and seasonal harvests. It’s both a personal and collective experience, a moment to pause and take in something ephemeral. That’s the energy we’re aiming to deliver. Rather than just another convention packed with back-to-back events and sensory overload, Tsukicon is curated to breathe. We want guests to flow between vibrant high-energy moments and slower intimate experiences. Whether that’s watching a cosplay exhibition in a theater setting, strol

Weekend and single day badges are available. Visit the Tsukicon website for pricing and details.

Wall Power! Spectacular Quilts from the American Folk Art Museum

Dayton
12:00 AM

Quilts are America’s great art experiment: monumental compositions in color, pattern, geometry and representation, and traditionally, quilts are made mostly by women. The American Folk Art Museum has been at the forefront of the movement to bring recognition to quilts as a major art form with deep roots in American life and experience. Their collection is distinctive for highly individualized expressions in this medium that is both yielding and unforgiving, challenging the maker to test the limits imposed by cutting and piecing bits of fabric. The quilts on view range from the mid-nineteenth to late twentieth centuries, from Alabama to Pennsylvania. A selection of American quilts from the DAI's extensive textile collection will also be presented. Plan your visit to see these and other incredible works! Casey Anderson: Among Wild Predators

Dayton
12:00 AM

For more than three decades, wildlife filmmaker and National Geographic explorer Casey Anderson has walked toward what most people run from: grizzlies, mountain lions, tigers, and other dangerous predators. He has been charged, bitten, clawed, and stung by countless creatures and has actually raised a grizzly bear. In AMONG WILD PREDATORS, Casey takes us on a powerful visual and emotional journey into the hearts of these animals, and into our own hearts as well. Through breathtaking encounters and deeply personal stories, he dismantles the myths that have fueled humanity’s fear of predators and reveals what they truly are: mirrors of our own courage, empathy, and survival. By challenging audiences to confront their assumptions about the wild, Casey invites them to see predators, and themselves, through new eyes, finding beauty where fear once lived.
