Formed by Ansel Cridland, Danny Clarke, and Winston Watson, the group rose to international acclaim with songs and albums that became part of reggae’s foundation. Their voices can be heard alongside icons including Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Gregory Isaacs, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Sly and Robbie, and more. From the historic One Love Peace Concert in 1978 to stages across the United States, Europe, and Africa, The Meditations have carried the spirit of roots rock reggae around the world. Today, Ansel Cridland continues the legacy with longtime collaborators Laury Webb and Daddylion Chandell, bringing a sound rooted in harmony, history, and love.
