Join the Dayton Art Institute for a special showing of ANSCHEL, presented by the Dayton Art Institute and The Human Race Theatre Company. ANSCHEL is the true story of a survivor. An 11-year-old boy, when German Soldiers over-ran Poland in 1939, Anschel was a Polish Jew who was clever beyond his years. Time after time, year after year, when captured by Nazi Soldiers and armed SS guards, he escaped and escaped, and escaped. At the end of the war, he was a teenager and the only one of his family to survive the Holocaust. This is his story. Performance in the Mimi and Stuart Rose Auditorium. Doors open at 1:30 PM.
